christmas fun!

we had a fun Christmas with lots of chatter about "jesus' birthday coming up!" and christmas trees and jesus' birth in a barn with our almost 3-year-old.

luke joined me and grandma in the family tradition of stuffing korv, or swedish potato sausage!

we hosted christmas eve dinner at our home with cousins galore, the highlight for luke by far!  (making for little sleep the night before :)

luke scored a new kitchen via his baby sister this year which my hubby graciously assembled over the course of 4 evenings!  i had a lot of fun picking it out, stocking it and outfitting it with a pom pom-fringed curtain i put together!  olivia has surprised me with how interested she is in it even at 10 months, so we have a lot of cooking going on right now.

one of luke's big presents was an art easel which has spawned much artistic creativity!  he and a friend enjoyed playing with it recently during a playdate - thank goodness for splashmats!

he and his daddy had fun putting together his new parking garage from grandad -- priceless!

we headed off to gogo and pop's house on christmas day, where luke had a blast in the big blizzard and olivia enjoyed playing with their golden, lucy.  the kids LOVED seeing their cousins, savvy and skylar!  pics to come -- why doesn't shutterfly get on the "upload to blog" bandwagon??!
